Story is here. There is no way to imagine this moving forward, and I predict that the only thing that will be bipartisan is the opposition to it.

That said, it is an interesting thought experiment to contemplate how much Brexit policies could dovetail with Labour’s long-held skepticism of free trade.  Certainly, a Labour-led process is intuitively more palatable than one pushed by Conservatives—who have to do to the logical summersault of backing Brexit while extolling a “global Britain.”  But then again, we are living in unusual times.
